Our county comprised of the regions from Bácska to Kiskunság, from Sárköz to the Bugac sand ridge, we can discover the richness and diversity for hundreds of kilometers. We have inherited the natural treasures of the two main rivers of Hungary, tha Danube and the Tisza, the floodplain forest under nature conservation protection called Gemenc and the alluvial plain covered with quicksand called Illancs from our ancestors. As many landscapes surround us, as many ethnic groups, nationalities and worldviews we encompass. We draw our strength from this wide diversity! We are connected by diversified cultural values and centuries-old traditions! Although we are differing, our mind still works with one bearing: we consider Bács-Kiskun county as our home. The people living here have a legitimate expectation that their municipalities are orderly and safe, and their public institutions are modern and energy-efficient. Our goal at the county government is to create all of this!
